Lee Clower currently resides in New York, but don’t call him a New Yorker. Hailing from Georgia, Lee is quite proud of his Southern roots and values the network of Southern talent he works with in New York City. Lee has a strong background in fashion, working as a fashion editor for major editorial and advertising campaigns before stepping behind the camera to capture his own vision. Given his experience, Lee continues to bring an elegant, whimsical sense of style to his shoots, and prides himself on successfully meeting the challenges that our ever changing economy presents.
Lee’s affinity for photographing kids comes from the inherently genuine nature of children on set. His unique approach of interacting with the kids as peers, provokes a style that is very specifically his own. Lee's combination of fashion knowledge and fun sensibility is evident in his adult fashion and portraiture work as well. Lee's on going seven years of imagery for The New York Times Styles section is an excellent reference for this as well as a testament to his dedication and love for his work.
